Not true at all. Pentax USA always says their medium
format cameras/lenses as professional. As so does
Pentax everywhere else. I remember not too long ago
Pentax USA advertised "Pro" rebates on their
"professional" medium format equipment for working
pros. Just e-mail Pentax USA to find out when.

And at the price of MF, I hardly think that this is
geared toward to "amateur market". Plus build quality
is "Pro". AND a ton of pros use Pentax MF, mostly
field photographers.
