One interesting case in point was his colums (from the late 80's) where he described
Minoltas failure in the pro market as due to the lack of traditional interface. No
self respecting pro would use a camera without a shutterspeed dial. This, of course,
only held true until Nikon change their interface.
Anyway, I enjoy his writing ; not to mention his photography. His "mountain light"
book is my opinion the best photo text ever. Rowell is anyway just an amateur when it
comes to pimping compared to Arthur Morris and his blatant Canon pimping.
BTW OP is blatant marketing magazine that should have been closed down due to
violation of universally agreed upon editorial and marketing laws.
