Despite smaller magnification (0.75 vs 0.8 in Z1P), viewfinder in MZ-S is brighter and more contrasty, much nicer to look through and manual focusing than the one in Z1P! As a matter of fact Z1P's viewfinder is darker than penta-mirror type one in my wife's Z70 (I have tested this, when I had Z1P)...
