Hi everybody, Some weeks (months?) ago Wieland suggested to check the prices of the Pentax bodies in the past 25-30 years, if I'm right, and I answered saying that I could do the work, but limited to the last ten years and the Italian market only. I didn't imagine the amount of work involved in that task: it's easy to find the prices but they must be index-linked. I can do that for the LIT (Italian Lira) but I can only compare the exchange rates of today. It should be interesting to have the exchange rates for the entire period. For instance: I've found an almanac of the 1972 where the price of a Spotmatic II was LIT 140.000 which means actual 1.742.000 (more than the price of the Z-1p now - closer to the price of a brand new F90x), or, in today's USD, roughly $828. I don't know if it could be the real price of a Spotmatic if it would be sold today. I couldn't work on this for a lot of time but I'm going to complete the work in the next few days so I'll be able to post to the group something that I hope can be interesting.
