Hi Robert, I own one. It's quite sharp and has a color rendition very close to the Pentax lenses'. I did a comparison between it, the M 100/2.8 and the A 70-210/4 @ 100mm and it was the clear winner either at infinity and at close focusing distance (no comparison at macro distances, though). I dislike a bit the need to turn the focusing ring in the opposite direction of rign on the Pentax lenses. It is definitely big and heavy, this means a well built lens, though. I bought mine for $250 a couple of years ago (it was almost like new in the box) which was, for me at least, quite high.
