There has been some reports that *Ist is more than a camera name but a "brand" name for certain Pentax products (SLR's). Perhaps it is something like Canons EOS? This indicate that may be more *Ists to come. The Ist name apparently refers to the suffix -ist in english refering to people who are, or believe in certain things. However, this makes me think that perhaps theres a deeper thinking behind the *Ist name (something it doesn't have to be of course) implying that the various models will be differently targeted and perhaps, more precisely targeted than whats usual. By this I mean that we may not get to see the same camera in various sizes and price levels, pretty much like Nikon and Canon is doing, but very different cameras with very different philosophies appealing to various -ist types like traditionalists, proctologists, nudists etc. This is just some loud thinking that might be far off the mark.
