The first photo of mine to appear in print was a shock/comedy nude, entitled
"personal grooming/false color". It took second prize in the Helmut Newton
competition put on by PHOTO, the French magazine, and appeared in the April
2001 issue. The prize was 4 photo books by Taschen, valued at about $65Cdn
each.

WARNING: If you're offended by graphic nude images, Don't Look!
It may be seen on their website at
www.photo.fr/concours/gagnantsnewton/gagnants2.html . The image appears
sort of washed out on the website, but in the magazine it looks rich and
saturated.

Another of my nudes appeared in the November/December 2002 issue of American
Photo. It's a more classic style of figure studio, in natural color. It
was one of 120 published finalists, out of 50,000 entries. I submitted
several other pictures at the same time, none of them nudes, but that's the
one they chose.
