Bill,

The D100 is 1.5 conversion factor.  This is the same size chip.

My plans include the following to deal with the wide angle problem:
1) Keep a film camera (small would be best - new *ist)
2) Use the 17-28 fisheye that I already have

That should solve most problems for me.
