The MZ-S was intended as an upgrade path for the MZ-5n and maintained its interface. It was also intended as a basis for a high-end DSLR which would appeal to Pentax MF users, and LX users for that matter, and hence had matching interface. The *ist D is in a totally different ballpark marketing wise. P�l
