In genealogy, when we are 987% certain of a data point, we add an
asterisk to the entry, just so folks know we don't have positive proof
(inadequate or missing official paperwork) of that person's bonafides!
You might add an asterisk to whatever item(s) you don't have proof of,
but feel pretty certain are true. 
A one line footnote would do it...
