Take some slow, deep breaths, Mike,

The secret to serenity on mailing lists is this:

It's all TV. :-)

I once felt compelled, out of fear of missing something important, to
view/read all the episodes of my favorite shows/bbs threads/mail lists,
even when it was something that either bored or offended me. There was much
pulling of hair, grimacing, gnashing of teeth, and expensive therapy.

Then, one day, a light from above shone down upon me, and a thundering
voice like unto an angel spake unto me saying, "Geez--turn that f***ing
tripe off!" From that moment on, inner peace was mine.

I think you subscribe via digest? One of the advantages to subscribing to
the list proper, instead of in digest format, is the ability to have your
email client sort through everything coming into you, filtering messages
with a common denominator (like someone's email address, or in the case of
this list, the reply to address) into seperate folders, and then sort the
messages in each folder either by sender or subject or whatever. 200
messages of Bloody Jihad can vanish with a drag of the mouse and a tap of
the delete key. :-)

Hey, it doesn't get much better than this--if only the rest of life were so
easy to manage.
