From the photos, this lens apparently has a distance scale (but, as we
know, no aperture ring). The presence of the distance scale makes me
think that perhaps some of the FAJ lenses are intended for semi-serious
to serious users. I had thought it inane that Pentax would introduce a
camera aimed at serious users -- the *ist D -- and bundle it with a lens
designed only for point-and-shooters.
Still trying to understand Pentax's strategy. Is it possible that there
isn't a coherent strategy, and that's why we can't discern it?
