I've redone William Robb's chalenge this month - I've browsed
through thumbnails and picked one that caught my eye the most.

I've picked "Carine" by Alexander Bauer. I was eager to find
out how Alexander used this as I tried something very similiar
few years ago wit my self-portrait (before cutting my hair). Not
to great surprise I found out that Alex did much better then I
did. It is not only good thumbnail but a great PUG photo as well.

Again I picked a colour photo - I guess that when browsing
thumbnails only b&w photos have a much less chance to get
picked - at least in my case.

Now to browsing the whole gallery - what a pleasure - as allways.

"Innocence" by Mark Mangum
There is something in this photo that makes it something more
that a family album snapshot. The composition is very classical
and it works very well in this case. Kids are nicely sharp while
the background is nicely blurred giving sense of location but
not being distractive. This would work as some magazine shot
easily IMO. Your comment make me think a bit more about it.
Great.

"Working On The Computer" by Michael Cross
That's a very joyfull photo. Love the way Eva stands ouy of the
background not only due to right DOF but also a difference in
brightness. And she is just adorable. I would only like to dodge
the hand with the mouse a bit.

"Are We Having Fun Yet" by Butch Black
This is funny :-)))

"Tree on the Hill" by Petr Pazour
Great sharpness and colours. I like the contrast between dark
sky and mountains and brightly lighted grass and tree. Nice
composition as well.

"Sunset" by Alan Chan
Nice mood. I love the colours in the sky. I might crop a bit
from the bottom though - but the tree has to stay.

"Maid of the Mist" by Bob Blakely
I like the way that blue tint adds something spooky to the
photo. It looks almoust like a ghost ship. Love the way the tiny
waves in the bottom look - white foam on dark blue water.

"Earth and Sky" by Harald Rust
Great. Looks like a painting to me. I like the amount of
abstraction this photo shows.

"Low Tide" by Facit
Great, unreal pattern.

"Moonset" by Mark Cassino
This is great! I can feel the cold in the photo. As you say -
composition is almoust classical in the photo and it works. Nice
contrast between the sky and the red lighthouse.

"Red Wing" by YP Wan
Don't know why but I love it.

"Bike" by David Mann
Very nice. Looks like a closing scene in the movie. All the info
about cast and crew is about to roll into the frame as the boy
leaves toward the sun.

"Columns" by Peter J. Alling
Nice, graphical, image.

"Dunas " by Luiz Cruz
I have no idea what it is and it makes this photo even more
interesting. Apat of that great DOF and form study.

"Filter Cover Reflections" by frank theriault
I have a weakness toward this kind of photos and the subject.
This one is very well executed but I would like somethik
diffrent to reflect to make it better.

"Right Way" by Patrick Rendulic
Great contrast in the image and details in the sky are
impressive. Must give IR some more try as soon as summer is back.

Well it turned out I wrote more than I was planning to do and
there are still photos worth mentioning left, for sure. This is
great gallery this month.
