I have an M3 and and M4-2, so I have both styles of rewind knob, and I don't really have a preference from the handling point of view, although the slanted style is rather quicker. I do think the aesthetics of the M3 style are much better than the later style though, and I think this is likely to be a big selling point for the MP. I had thought MP might stand for 'Magnum Photos', but probably not. So what does the P stand for? Pretty? Professional? Primitive? Pretentious? --- Bob "The only joy in photography is geometry.
