Well after putting in a truely mind numbing week at work, I came home and played with my scanner for a while. I've had it ( A UMAX Astra 1220P ) for over a year, but haven't used it very much. My oldest boy uses it more than me, scans his color pencil drawings. Here are the results of my fooling around, http://www.gosdin.net/scans/scans1.htm These are a couple of shots taken during the Ice Storm before the "Big One" that caused so much misery here in Oklahoma in late December 2000 - early January 2001. I used my one of my K1000's and the 55mm F1.8 SMC Pentax. I didn't take a single shot of the "Big One", I was much too busy shoveling / scraping / cursing the ice. http://www.gosdin.net/scans/scans2.htm These are shots I took in 1999 right after I got the ME SE and the 50mm F1.4 SMC Pentax-M. ( You can see the Brown Beast on Boz's site. ) It was spring, it was green, it was WARM! Anyway, I have a long way to go with the scanner before I'm near as good as most of the PDML'ers.
