>From the pictures of the *istD I saw (and the one of the mount in mind) the foam in the upper part of the mirror is where it should be in the case of a *normal* mirror (normal for a MZ series camera), just behind the mount. Taking another look at the usual http://www.imaging-resource.com/NPICS1/PENTAX_ISTD_HANDSON_2_L.JPG there is something that makes me think that the *istD has interchangeable screens: the releasing tongue (is it correct?) for the screen frame is there. I know, it's maybe a pre-production model, but I assume that they wouldn't have added such a hidden feature on a prototype.
