This is a pretty general question, and I can't really offer suggestions without knowing a whole lot more info. Check out sites like http://www.dpreview.com and http://www.imaging-resource.com to give you a rough idea of the tens of cameras available in that range and what they look like, offer in terms of features, etc. If you have any questions after that, I'd be glad to give you advice off-list. > Also, I heard of a camera which can be both film and digital.
