Well, I think it's a bit silly...the word should be applied to the
people using the camera rather than the camera itself.

I propose a new word: 

phobot (fo'bot') n.

1 - A person who uses a modern camera in full auto mode at all times
because he doesn't understand the basic principles of photography, *and*
is derisive of other people with camera models different from his own.
2 - A person who eats an entire bowl vietnamese noodle soup without
pausing for air.
