I use the masking tape made by the model company called Testors. Unlike 
other masking tapes, theirs don't curl so it will stay flat once applied. 
Should be able to find in most hobby shops & costs a few bucks only.

Alan, do you also have an online description of what you used for
materials in the photo?  Or, did you spell it out on the PDML (so I
