Thank goodness one of the single malts I like is down in the
"occasionally affordable despite my starving-artist budget"
price range: Loch Du. The others I know I like (I'm still
a beginner, so there's a lot of tasting to do) are out of my
league financially. *sigh* Balvenie Portwood *sigh*
Never did get used to Bourbon despite the fact that all my
uncles drank/drink it. Love top-notch cognac, but obviously
don't get to experience that particular pleasure very often.
(When I do, a little goes a long way. Last time a friend
shared some high-end Remy with me, I was getting giggly from
the heavenly _flavour_ long before the tiniest traces of
alcohol got into my blood, and a wee drop on the tongue
provides a pretty big dose of that flavour.)
