As friendly as we all are, in many cases we simply do not know all the reasons behind someone's opinions and Email is not always the best way to explore that. Especially when the forum is a photography list. People are individuals on this list and not just one of the "The French" or "The Americans". I for one have always appreciated the international character of this list and the level of civility we enjoy, which is not always shared by our respective governments.
Well said. I have felt that the international make-up of the list to be one of its strengths. I also believe that "friendly" international lists such as this will have tremendous influence on creating a better world. As we get to see each other as individuals, with the same basic needs and wants, we may be less inclined to stereotype due to race, religion, and nationality. I hope our international members do not judge all Americans by the opinions of a few. BUTCH Each man had only one genuine vocation - to find the way to himself. Hermann Hess (Damien)
