The 18 would certainly be smaller and lighter and I think 18mm would probably be more useful, more often (15mm is W - I - D - E) but it's very rare and may be even more expemsive.

Let's not forget the 18mm is in fact a 19mm. The A20mm might be another interesting choice for you, Peter. It's a 2.8, it's smaller, it can use front 67mm filter (the 18mm has a skylight as a default "back" filter) and it is also cheaper (I think 350 to 400 on eBay).
