Interesting point, Glenn. While we were all poking gentle fun at this little
camera on eBay (maybe we were poking more fun at the ad, and the authors of it
than the camera), it is still a photographic device, and has some value as
such.
My sister and her boyfriend were recently in Morocco, and brought along a
Yashica 35mm slr, along with a dimestore camera similar to the eBay one, as a
backup. Sure enough, in the middle of a camel trek through the dunes of the
desert, the Yashica packed it in. My sister screamed at Chris to get a shot of
the shadows of the camels cast by the sunrise, which he did, on a $20 Cdn
plastic piece of crap:

Not bad, considering the tool used. Not perfect, but it captured a lovely
image that would have otherwise been unobtainable under the circumstances.
