Hi Gang, on my way to acquiring every single model ever made by Asahi Co., I recently took a chance on an early ES, the one that spells out "electro spotmatic." The seller advertised it as non-working, but in mint condition. I paid less than $120 US, simply for the cosmetic condtion, with ideas ruminating in my head about transferring the top plate and bottom plate to a working model.
Well, the camera arrived and as soon as I put the battery in, that meter leaped up and performed like a circus animal. Seems quite accurate compared to my other ES, to. So: mint condition, working, rather uncommon beast; a fine addition to the Barras pentax family. Now, the curious accessory: the Asahi pentax everready case: also in mint condition, but brown. I've always seen black ones. Anyone else seen one in brown leather? Sid
