My sarcastic paragraphs seem to be rippling sideways ... again. I have
re-read them, imagining myself to be another member of the group who has
been with us for long enough to have read the memorable 'composition' and
'format' posts.

I wouldn't change a word, its perfectly clear stuff. The language is okay.
Its as plain as the nose on my face, or even that of the belligerent junior
Bush. I try to keep my English that way, clear and simple. Some people agree
that it is, in particular three reviewers of one of my several 'popular'
publications. I confess to having been influenced by a onetime resident of
Cuba who has gone down in history as one of the greatest US writers ...
although I revised my opinion of his style ... as I matured.

It amazes me how a post like this can result in critical discussion of
writing styles, language and the use of English.
