I have the PZ 28-105 (two of them, in fact) and have used the 24-90
extensively. The PZ is definitely better built. Both are excellent
optically, but I believe I would rate the 24-90 as just a bit sharper.
One complaint about the 24-90 is that the lens extends when you zoom
out. For the safety of the lens, I feel that I need to zoom it back to
24 mm. after each shot - which is definitely a nuisance, but I guess
keeps the cost down. The PZ 28-105 changes does most of its zooming
internally.
You'll do okay with either one.
