Starting to fund a *ist-D..... I'm reducing my kit to one LX and one MX. I have used all these items extensively and have had no problems based on my shooting style. None of the bodies is perfect but they all take good, well exposed photographs at all shutter speeds. Examples avaialable. The lenses are great, just duplicates.
Super Program: Meter is perfect. Body shows its age but shutter is great. The "half-press-shutter-release-to-meter-and-display-reading" doesn't work. Instead it just takes the picture. To this end it works fine in AP or Program mode and manual only when the shutter is not cocked. Probably nothing a CLA couldn't solve. Also, it only works intermitently with the Motor Drive A, most likely because the contacts are a bit corroded (after I clean them the motor works). Does not have the grip-thingy. TTL flash is perfect. US$75.00 Motor Drive A (with Battery Pack A): 2 or 3.5 FPS. Big, heavy, uses AA's. Great condition. Works on Super Program (ProgramA), Super A (Program Plus) and I think the P5 (P50). US$150.00 P3: Works great, very little wear. US$75.00 MX: Needs CLA. Meter is iffy, foam is falling apart, focusing screen is dusty. Hot shoe and PC terminal don't work. Shutter is good. US$50.00 MX-Data: Quartz watch data back on MX body. Nice. Everything works (although I never did test the actual data imprinting function....). Missing black plastic on wind lever. US$150.00 SMC-A 50/2: Good condition, no scratches, dust or fungus. (I have two and only need one). US$35.00 SMC-M 50/1.7: Ex-Tom Rittenhouse (Graywolf). No dust, fungus or scratches. Filter ring has small gash but this does not effect the ability to attach filters.
