Tom,

I think that defeats the whole purpose of the question - correctness in
Windows is what is needed for Web pages and what Gerald wants to accomplish.
Turning off the color management in Windows will be fine for Gerald's screen
(however you do that - are you talking about monitor calibration to 1.8
gamma?) but it will be too dark for everyone else in the cyberworld who
looks at the images.

Gerald *wants* his image to look right in Windows and, especially, in IE and
Netscape with it's normal color and gamma settings.
