My daughter was not behaving as I had hoped for the improptu photo session, hence the expression. The grain is a function of being lazy and having the lab develop my film (a first for B&W for me; normally I develop and scan the film myself at home), and having them do a quick scan of the roll onto photo-cd. I wanted the shot for the April PUG and time was running out. The "crop" is framing with a long lens in a small space and chopping off the bottom bit in the GIMP to avoid the "nip-slip."
