Hi all, Had the chance to play with the Optio 550 yesterday. Very nice camera: zoom is great, option dial is similar to the other Optios, but with the new features (panoramic assist, Manual, Tv and Av to start). The battery is larger than the RS cameras. It comes with a dissappointing 16 mb card, but card prices are going down. :)
Focus is FAST and very little lag in making the picture. Lots of Optio features in a small package...not much bigger than the RS with 5x! Also took a look the the 33L. Nice, but on the low end. A little slow and no optical viewfinder. The screen does come with a hood though. Probably the nicest camera for the low end ($300 and under). I'd be happy to try out anything and answer any questions until more cameras become available.
