Why not just assign each PUG contributor to write a brief commentary on one
other person's picture? That way, everybody gets at least one opinion, and
all the commentators are basically sympathetic (since they're also putting
their work out there to be judged <s>).
Then, encourage people to write about their favorites, as well. And of
course anyone who wants to do more--as you did this month--would be doing a
favor for everyone whose picture they talked about.
Just an idea.
