It's worth trying to "work" the dial a bit, which is sometimes helpful in removing mild oxidation of contact surfaces. Try moving the exposure comp dial from one extreme to the other several times, and then try moving film speed dial back and forth (of course, you have to keep lifting up the dial to move it from notch to notch).
