The top K body was probably the K2DMD. The MX and ME are very different types of cameras, but similar in terms of material and quality. I think that they sold for around the same price, so I wouldn't rank one above the other. Although the SP wasn't the theoretical top of the line, it was probably the "practical" top of the line, because not many stores carried the LX.
