Christian has noted..... Have you picked up a photo magazine lately? Nikon and Canon advertise the crap out of their DSLRs and digicams as well as their film offerings from consumer to pro grade. What's so sad is that I have yet to see an ad for the Optio S which is such a big hit for Pentax, yet I've seen ads for the Casio version.
Christian Pentax actually has no need to advertise the Optio S. According to my local Pentax rep, there are more than 40,000 of them on dealer backorders. Also, the Casio is not a "version" of the Optio S. The only thing Pentax about the Casio is the lens and possibly some firmware. The Casio isn't as small as the Optio S, and does not utilize interchangeable batteries. It must be placed in a charging stand to recharge the internal battery. In other words, if your battery dies while you're in the middle of a shoot, you are SOL until you stick it on the charger and wait for it to recharge. With my Optio S, it takes about 15 seconds to change batteries, and they seem to last for at least 100 or more exposures. Bill
