I'm thinking about moving from my ZX-L to the MZ-S, the problem is that I'm
used to setting the aperture on the body. Has anyone made a similar move in
the past and if so what's your experience? Also, I've compared the ease of
turning the aperture ring on my lenses. The FA* 24 & 200mm are easy to
turn, the FA 50mm almost as easy. But my FA 35mm and F 100mm macro are a
little bit harder to turn. Are these variations normal? I know it's a
subjective issue this whole thing, but any help is appreciated.

When I bought into AF a few years back I bought Minolta (600si). I didn't have any AF lenses and very few manual at the tim, so which manufacturer wasn't important. Although I did want to choose Pentax, I didn't like what was available in the shops at the time.
No Aperture ring on the lens. No big deal.
When the MZ-S came out, I bought that and sold my Minolta. No problem switching back to setting aperture on the lens. (Though I had umpteen years of using an MX before going AF)
I found the current 28-105 Pentax-made lens difficult to turn. I solved the problem by buying myself a 24-90 and giving the 28-105 to hubby, who never usually takes it off A anyway. (snigger)
