I wasn't paying attention to which episodes, but it finally sank in that
their props department is using Pentax UCF binoculars with a squareish
housing built on top of them to suggest some other function.  There was
one scene where the pop out diopter adjustment was extended and clearly
visible.  So if nothing else Pentax should get marks for advanced "looking"
design.

Which episodes? We have every episode up to episode 16 of series 6 (though we have only watched up to episode 14). I can't have been watching closely enough.
