bw scans much worse than color? really?Yep. If you want good scans of B/W film, you're best advised to use the chromogenic (C-41 color process) films rather than traditional types.

I have scanned a few traditional (TMax 100, Delta 3200) bw rolls so far,
and I can't say it was any different than scanning color, qualitywise
(before anyone sticks comments about 10% of male being color blind :) Is
there anything specific I should pay attention to, to see the
