True, some just want to buy a camera to make pictures of their families without having much ambition becoming an "advanced" photographer. But first time buyers are not necessarily low-level buyers. Some (particularly those who buy a system SLR) want a camera for training of their abilities. Those need a camera that can cope with growing skills of or demands from the user. > Almost none of such buyers cares for features like P-TTL, HSS, > wireless control, > Servo AF, spot metering, MLU, even DOFp. Therefore a students camera should have those features. Besides the *ist is also usable at a very basic level, without caring about those advanced features. The *ist is intended to be used on several "skill-levels". This is how the manual is structured. Alexander __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
