Hi
This problem (slow stop-down action) often is due to leaving the lens NOT
stopped down (i.e. on camera). That's something Pentax lenses do not like.
The spring tend to get "tired". Don't leve the lens on the body. My
2.0/85mm, 2.5/135mm frequently get this illness, ifthey're cared for
porperly.

The cure can often be clicking the aperure up (and snap back) with your
finger 100 times - like once a month.
I had no oil-problems in my 22 years Pentax experience.
All the best
Jens

Randy, I have a 20mm f2.8 which seems slow; the blades almost glide shut as
opposed to snapping shut. I took it to my tech and he tested the exposure
that resulted, on his test rig. Despite appearances the exposure were spot
on, meaning that the lens was in fact shutting down quickly enough. Perhaps
you should have it tested first.

Regards
Anton
