Has anyone mentioned the 2.8 40mm Pancake yet? I got to use one on an MX (this was before I obtained mine - actually, it's ~why~ I obtained mine!), and it's a lovely, tiny package. I know I've seen some on this list say that it's an overrated lens, but it's plenty sharp for me, I think hyperfocused at f22 it goes from about 17 inches out, and it's size makes the MX a great street camera (except for the noise issue, which in noisy situations is irrelevent).
I would have one for my MX, but around the time I was considering getting one, I bought my Leica with the 40mm Summicron C - even though it's a very different lens, I couldn't justify a Pancake, and just haven't had the money since.
