Frank, hang in there. I had a forced career change in my mid 40's and had a wife and 2 kids, 7 & 2 yrs old at the time. First few years were rough, I had to sell my beloved LX, and other toys, to make the mortgage payments, but I made it. Last year I earned $120K and while 2003 may be the first time in 16 years I haven't bested my previous years income, I will likely still earn over $100K.
My advice is to choose a career that allows you to control your own income and destiny, and keep the faith... don't sell your Pentax gear! Mike.
