Maybe. Or somedays we have CCDs which are less dependant on parallel light rays. Or they simply use Canon's software way.
Or one day when the manufacturing process was so advance those little sensors on the chip could be positioned at an angle individually to compensate.
I think, that this is only a question of time. Customers demand full frame to use their old lenses. If this demand can be answered in a technically and financially sensible way, then we will see those cameras.
The problem is manufacturers start to produce 2/3 size digital lenses. Maybe someday most users would be happy with all those digital lenses they purchased and the manufacturers would stay with 2/3 CCD/CMOS forever.
