I know I want to, too.  But I want Pentax to assure me that my wife wont
be able to see the difference when I upgrade this first model to the
'pro' model next year - otherwise I could be in big trouble, or worse
still locked into the entry level model when I want the new one later.
You will start to learn about these things now you are married!

I have a 17-35 already and picked up a 50mm 1.4 to act as a 75 with the
ist D (my 77ltd will be too long for me on the D :-( SOB), so don't need
any new lenses (except maybe a 14mm).  I will almost definately get the
ist D and leave it at that for now.  I aint buying no soddin' DA lenses
that fer sure!
