I'm not ready to go digital, but I know that it's not a fad. No way. Almost all of the working pros who shoot for the major ad agencies shoot digital all the time. Almost all consumers buying point and shoots buy digital. Almost all hobbyists buying high end 35mm cameras are buying digital. it's not a fad.
Meanwhile, I'll be shooting film for some time to come -- a year perhaps. But I scan most of it and print it on an inkjet. Like most other film shooter I'm only one step away.
