I do a lot of scenic and landscape work when I'm on holiday. I prefer to use
the 6x7 for this stuff but I use 35mm gear quite a bit, either as a supplement
to the bigger camera, or where using the 6x7 is either too slow or too risky.

The landscaping is my real passion and I'd love to do it for a living, but I don't
really like being "on the road" for too long. I just need to get around to
actually making some money out of it; enough that I only have to travel a few
times a year :)

Macros are my second major photographic interest, because I find potential
subjects very easily. If I can't photograph the whole scene (like if it's just
plain ugly) I can easily shut most of it out and focus on a postage-stamp-
sized part of it.

Those are my favourite types of photography but I just like using my
cameras. The old K2 is a true wonder to use, particularly with my collection
of manual focus lenses, and the Z-1p complements it very well when I require
AF and/or a motor-drive.

When I'm at home I don't tend to shoot very much (not as much as I used
to, anyway), because I tend to be quite busy with other things (like paying off
the credit card after the previous holiday:). Lately I've been shooting hatching
monarch butterflies, flowers, and other assorted macro stuff. It must be
about time I spent a Saturday afternoon walking around the inner city with a
camera again...

Cheers,

- Dave
