The E-10 has a beam splitting prism rather than a mirror so that it
makes vitually no noise.  Consequnelty, one of the options is to pick a
"shutter noise" as a confirmation signal.  The noise level is great, and
I've nnot ntoiced any picture problems.  I wonder why more DSLR folks
don't do this, unless the cost is outrageous.

What I find funny is that adding a mount should not have pushed this
camera to well over $2000.  Olympus and a real shot at a maket, but it
seems like they are making a really bad decision.

The
*ist D I saw (and heard) at Pentax Day featured a funny "click&whirr"
sound
(like that of shutter + winder of a film camera).
