Hi! One of the shots that I particularly like (probably my first PUG submission) was made with my ZX-L and Soligor 70-222/3.5 zoom lens at its long end handheld at 1/45 sec. I did not blow it out to the wall size, but the scan that I have shows no particular vibration problem. Mind you, the whole combo is more than 1 kg heavy.
I don't look like I lift weights every day. It's just that I had my luck. Naturally so could you. Paul, you have an excellent equipment - MX, ME Super and 50/1.7 lens. I know nothing except what I heard here about 28/2.8 and nothing whatsoever about the zoom lens. However I think that instead of selling, you might consider __buying__ some equipment. For example, there is a 100/2.8 macro lens for sale at the moment on the list. Though it is a little on a heavy side. May I humbly suggest that you browse down to www.keh.com and look around the lenses they offer. My recent buy M28/2.8 from them for $70 is excellent. They have more of the same. I cannot help you with the flash though. I have ZX-L which is supposed to be fairly capable. Just recently I started to get half decent images from its built-in flash. No external flash for me yet. May the Pentax be with you. Boris ===8<==============Original message text=============== P> I have decided to sell my Pentax MX, ME super and P> lenses, 28mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.7, 75-150 f/4 zoom.
