I always learn a lot by looking at the entries. My belated comments on this
month's PUG:

" Ocean Of Light " by Charles Fleeman
Projects a cold, and yet somehow warm isolated feeling on the viewer. I
like it .

" Grandfather Panorama "by Bill Owens, USA
Nice one Bill. I like the composition with the foreground rocks. That
digital stitcher is amazing.

" Katmai's finest (Ursus arctos) " by Ken Waller
Beautiful picture Ken. Must have been exciting getting it on film

" Dutch Blacksmith " by Johan van Denderen
Lots of charm with a very old feel. I like it.

" El Rastro, December 2000 " by Juan Buhler
I love the expressions captured on the faces. This is not my type of
photography, but this shot strikes me as very well executed and outstanding.

" Chat Breton " by Olivier Darrouzet
Nice photo! It has a classic look with lots of Old World Charm. Reminds me
of the Disney film Thomasina.

" River Avon, Christchurch, NZ " by Linda McKie
Very nice. Beatiful composition. The gondola makes the shot!

" The New T-bird " by Byron Butler, USA
The fact that it's a pretty car makes me like this. But also because with
both doors open it looks like it's flying.

" Foggy "by Rob Studdert, Sydney Australia
I like the lines and colors in this shot. I can see why you'd think about
removing the car, but I like it there as well.

" Steel Sculpture at Tel-Aviv Museum, Detail " by Daphne Schnitzer, Israel
Love the subject and the fact the the sky was so white. On a white
background it just stands out.

" Shadow Rage " by Gianfranco Irlanda, Italy
Great eye to have have noticed the humor in this.

" Woman in a shower " by Chris Niesmertelny, USA
Very artisitic, I've wanted to do this shot myself (not as the subject).

" Descending plane " by Jostein Øksne, Norway
Neat shot, love the lights tracking down the runway.

" Woops " by William Robb
Great timing! Very sharp esp in light of it's a small piece of the
original.

" Irazu " by Gerald Wang, Canada
Beautiful image. I love volcanoes and this has a surreal look.

My personal favorite:

" Forum Bath, Pompei " by Joseph Tainter
Beautiful Joe. Have you ever thought about enlarging this really big? I
think because of the muted tones and lighting that a loss in resolution
wouldn't hurt this at all. Our home has a Mediterranean villa type of feel
I can see this hanging on our wall. I also have to say that I was only 7 or
8 years old when you took this and am humbled.
