Nice bike, Frank. I'm enjoying it quite heartily myself. I find it odd drinking with my children as well. Of course all of my children are adults, but it still feels weird. My son, by the way, drinks Blue. I guess he's sort of an honorary Canuck, eh? <vbg>.
Hope you have a great Sunday.

Well, I'm bored. So you'll all have to bear with me. My eldest
daughter, Anne was here - originally just for an evening, but then for
several days due to the blackout. It was loads of fun, although I still
have to get used to the idea of going out drinking with my little girl,
who I held in the delivery room only a short while ago <wistful smile>.
But I digress...

So, tonight's the first night in a few that I've had to myself. I found
a bunch of photos that I'd forgotten about, taken last year with my
little Minolta HiMatic F - the el cheapo that I throw in my courier bag.

Just for fun, since I was telling the list about my track bike a while
back - and I don't think everone figured out quite what a track bike is
- here's my now departed Cyclops track bike.

Note the tight geometry (ie: short wheelbase), lack of gears and lack of
brakes. Also note how it's one of the loveliest bikes you've ever seen!
<g> So delicate looking, clean, bereft of all adornment (because she
doesn't need adornment). My new Rossin, with fat aluminium tubes, is
lighter, stiffer, but not nearly as lovely - even though it does it's
job better.

So, just to bring this back to photography, I finally figured out how to
dodge and burn on PhotoDeluxe (which is, I believe, Adobe's cheap
domestic version of Photoshop). Feathering, right? Does that ring a
bell with anyone? Anyway, I burned my reflection, top left, as it was
much darker in the print. Still not perfect, but better than it was. I
took the camera away from my eye, in hopes of getting my face in the
photo, but all I did was move the camera and cut off the front tire. Oh
well.

Hope you're all enjoying this Saturday evening, as I am!

cheers,
frank
