One of the nicest features, IMO, of the *istD is its ability to use AA batteries, especially NiMh. The word was that with AA alkalines you can expect ~100 exposures per set, and with a set of CR-V3's, ~ 1000 exposures. It sure will be nice knowing that, should you deplete your power source, it can be replaced nearly everywhere.
